Wild Outdoor Women (WOW) Events at Lake Metigoshe State Park are primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve on skills associated with several outdoor recreational activities. This event is a smaller, modified version that will follow North Dakota Smart Restart as well as CDC guidelines.WOW Events are held in February and in September to highlight the regions's recreational opportunities. This event heavily depends upon partnerhips that enable us to offer unique opportunities for participants to try out equipment, learn something new, refine skills or simply meet others that share an interest in the outdoors. Our partners for the upcoming event include the North Dakota Game Fish Department, Val's Cyclery, North Dakota Forest Service, Starion Bank, Souris River Telephone Communcations (SRT), INTENTional Fitness with Crystal and the NDSU Extension Master Gardener Program. We look forward to seeing everyone at the lake in September as the fall foliage starts to make an appearance!
