Wild Outdoor Women (WOW) Events at Lake Metigoshe State Park are primarily for ladies over the age of 16 who wish to learn or improve on skills associated with several outdoor recreational activities. WOW Events are held in February and in September to highlight the regions's recreational opportunities. This event heavily depends upon partnerhips that enable us to offer unique opportunities for participants to try out equipment, learn something new, refine skills or simply meet others that share an interest in the outdoors. Our partners that are offering activities for the upcoming event include the North Dakota Game & Fish Department, Dakota College at Bottineau, Bottineau Winter Park, INTENTional Fitness with Crystal, True North Chiropractic, SCHEELS, Turtle Mountain Trails Association and RadChicks. In support of the event, Starion Bank has agreed to pay the state park entrance fees for all WOW participants. Another corporate sponsor for the event includes Souris River Telephone (SRT).
